Before becoming an entrepreneur, Eilton served as an officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force for approximately eight years. After completing his scholarship bond, he began considering his next career move and identified an opportunity in will writing. Friends and family frequently asked whom they could trust to prepare their wills, highlighting a gap between people’s need for estate planning and their confidence in navigating the process. This led him to establish Alps Wills, where his work has grown beyond documentation to include understanding clients’ family circumstances, concerns and long-term wishes.
Turning Point:
Eilton’s transition came after completing his Air Force scholarship bond and contemplating what he wanted to do next. Conversations about wills and estate planning revealed that many people wanted to make arrangements but were uncertain about how to proceed. He recognised an opportunity to provide trusted guidance and subsequently established Alps Wills. Through meeting clients, he came to appreciate the emotional dimension of estate planning and how clear instructions can help prevent disagreements, preserve family relationships and give loved ones greater certainty after someone passes away.
What He Does Now:
Today, Eilton runs Alps Wills together with his wife, who is also his business partner. Rather than treating will writing as a one-off transaction, they seek to build lasting relationships with clients as their family circumstances and estate planning needs evolve. Eilton also encourages people to recognise that a legacy is not limited to financial assets: a will can preserve personal messages of love and gratitude for children and grandchildren. His work ultimately centres on helping people leave fewer uncertainties behind while protecting both their assets and family relationships.
