About her: Sok Leng is a Singapore-based art gallery owner driven by a heartfelt mission to honour the legacy of her late father, renowned second-generation Nanyang artist Low Hai Hong. After his passing, he left behind more than 1,000 paintings, which inspired her to leave her accounting career and establish ARTualize.

Through the gallery, she hopes to preserve her father’s artistic contributions while also creating opportunities for local artists to showcase their work and cultivate a stronger art-loving culture in Singapore.

Turning point: A major turning point in Sok Leng’s life came after the passing of her father. Faced with the responsibility of preserving his extensive body of artwork, she made the bold decision to leave her stable accounting career and enter the art industry full-time.

This transition led her to create ARTualize and later expand its mission beyond her father’s legacy to supporting Singaporean artists and making art more accessible to the public through exhibitions, workshops, and even art rental programmes.

What she does now: Today, Sok Leng runs ARTualize, where she curates exhibitions, promotes local Singaporean artists, and organises pop-up art showcases and appreciation workshops. She also produces a video series titled My Father’s Paintings to document and preserve her father’s artistic legacy.

In addition, the gallery offers an art rental service aimed at making local art more accessible to Singaporean homes and encouraging greater appreciation for homegrown artists.
