About him: Kenny Ng is a Singapore-based corporate finance professional and strategic advisor passionate about helping SMEs and family businesses scale sustainably in an increasingly competitive Southeast Asian market. Throughout his career, he observed that many SMEs struggled to grow because they relied solely on organic growth and lacked access to strategic capital, partnerships, and succession planning. This inspired him to focus on helping businesses rethink expansion, governance, fundraising, and leadership transition.

Turning point: A major turning point came when Kenny recognised that many established SMEs in Southeast Asia were facing succession challenges as first-generation founders approached retirement age. At the same time, younger businesses were scaling rapidly through strategic capital and partnerships.

This shift in the business landscape motivated him to focus heavily on growth capital, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, and succession planning. His experiences working across listed companies, private equity, and regional corporate advisory further strengthened his belief that collaboration, strategic investors, and proper governance are essential for sustainable business growth in the modern economy.

What he does now: Today, Kenny serves as Managing Director of Oakwood & Drehem Capital, where he advises corporates, investors, startups, and SMEs on mergers & acquisitions, fundraising, restructuring, debt advisory, and succession planning across Southeast Asia.

He is also actively involved in regional investment and business communities, including serving as Honorary Treasurer of the Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Council and the Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore Family Service Centre. In addition, he continues supporting ASEAN business ecosystems through speaking engagements, strategic forums, and cross-border investment initiatives.
