Professional Experience:
Sophie began her career as a nurse in 1997 after completing a Diploma in Nursing. Shortly before the SARS outbreak, she moved into a back-end healthcare role managing patient case records and submitting diagnosis and procedure data to the Ministry of Health, remaining in the role for almost 19 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her own experience with a life coach led her to discover strengths related to coaching. She subsequently pursued certification through the Mars Venus Coaching programme in 2021 and began coaching part-time. In 2023, she was introduced to number profiling and eventually spent two years studying the methodology more deeply before integrating it into her coaching practice.
Turning Point:
The COVID-19 pandemic became a major turning point for Sophie. After going through a difficult period, she sought the support of a life coach, who encouraged her to explore her own personality and strengths. The experience revealed her aptitude for coaching and prompted her to pursue professional training. Another important transition came in 2023 when she resigned from her long-term healthcare career. Although initially sceptical about number profiling, further study helped her see how it could complement coaching by providing another framework for understanding personality, behavioural patterns and communication styles.
What She Does Now:
Today, Sophie runs Numalife 617 Pte Ltd and operates under the name Ms. Clarity, a name suggested by a fellow member of her BNI chapter because it reflected the essence of her work. She combines life coaching and number profiling to help clients develop greater self-awareness and explore issues involving careers, relationships, self-worth, communication and limiting beliefs. Her approach aims to help people recognise behavioural patterns, better understand themselves and others, and make decisions with greater confidence and clarity.
