Deniece Foo is the Co-Founder of Emerge Arts & Media Academy, a Singapore performing arts school focused on developing children not only as performers but also as confident and resilient individuals. A performing artist, vocal and dance instructor herself, Deniece believes the arts can nurture communication, creativity, critical thinking and self-reflection. For her, success is not defined primarily by trophies or certificates, but by how much a student grows over time.

Professional Experience:
Deniece began her journey in the performing arts at just three years old and later participated in Chinese dance and street dance competitions. She has trained in various arts disciplines in Japan, the United States, Bangkok and Australia. Her professional experience spans performing, teaching, choreography, vocal and dance instruction, and content creation. She also staged her original musical, So ATAS, in 2019. Her students have achieved honours in dance examinations, secured international casting opportunities and performed internationally.
Turning Point:
The COVID-19 pandemic became a major turning point for Deniece. Around the same period, she welcomed her first child and realised that she could no longer manage the demands and pressure of her previous role. She made the difficult decision to leave the industry. Encouragement from close friends eventually gave her the confidence to start again, leading to the co-founding of Emerge Arts & Media Academy. Another milestone came when the academy committed to its own premises at Clarke Quay Central and later secured an opportunity for its students to perform at Hong Kong Disneyland after almost a year of effort.
What She Does Now:
Today, Deniece leads Emerge Arts & Media Academy, which she co-founded in 2021. The academy provides programmes spanning musical theatre, vocals, acting and dance for young performers. Beyond technical performance skills, Deniece emphasises confidence, resilience, communication, creativity and reflection. She also advocates for stronger collaboration within Singapore’s arts community and hopes to see creative careers receive greater recognition and support.
