He is a Certified Specialist of Wine, Certified Sake Professional, Whisky Ambassador, international wine judge, educator, and MBA graduate. Throughout his career, he has organised major wine festivals, judged international competitions, and taught wine, whisky, sake, coffee, tea, and food pairing programmes to industry professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Turning Point:
A defining turning point came when Patrick recognised that Singapore’s wine industry needed greater innovation, accessibility, and education. Rather than continuing in traditional retail leadership roles, he founded One Minor Group and One Cellar to build a technology-driven marketplace that connects producers, distributors, hospitality businesses, and consumers. At the same time, he expanded his role as an educator, believing that helping people “drink less, but drink better” would create a more knowledgeable and responsible drinking culture.
What He Does Now:
Today, Patrick leads One Minor Group and One Cellar while continuing to serve as an international wine judge, educator, speaker, and industry consultant. He teaches professional certification courses in wine, whisky, sake, coffee, tea, and food pairing, mentors professionals entering the beverage industry, and works closely with producers and hospitality businesses to elevate standards across the region. His mission is to combine technology, education, and innovation to create a more connected and informed wine and spirits ecosystem.
