Turning point: A major turning point came when Calvin had the opportunity to launch a sports bistro bar around 15 years ago, followed by a family karaoke darts bar featuring live entertainment. These ventures helped him realise there was strong demand for venues that blended dining with immersive entertainment experiences.
Another defining moment came during the COVID-19 pandemic shortly after launching a live band venue at Suntec. Despite enduring two difficult years, business rebounded strongly in 2022 after restrictions lifted, eventually leading to the launch of his second concept, Reverie Live Music.
What he does now: Today, Calvin operates live entertainment dining concepts including Reverie Live Music, where customers can enjoy food, beverages, and themed live performances ranging from live bands and acoustic sessions to DJ nights and comedy shows. He also hosts corporate events, boutique weddings, and entertainment-driven experiences while continuing to expand his vision of combining hospitality with live performance culture in Singapore.
